New YorkFirst Sign

Our first sign from New York, the Empire state, comes not from the hustle of New York City but instead from the small town (very small town, 925 people as of 2000) of Millerton, which ironically is in the Harlem Valley which seems to have no relationship to the Harlem in Manhattan. This sign is the first of several signs submitted by previous winner David Slauenwhite (Ed.: this sign is his fifth submission!) that he found while on a cycling tour. Additional signs will be posted in coming days.

This is a great sign! I’m tempted to create a category just for these special cases of signs. Not only is the math so cool but all the numbers are numeric anagrams! This really is a special sign.

22 + 22 = 44

This sign is on Highway 44 by the town of Millerton, NY with GPS coordinates approximately N41 57 09.9 W73 30 45.2. See sign on map!
