Massachusetts

Randy Weiss comes back with another sign from Massachusetts. This time the town of Westin shows off some mathematical significance.

Mr. Weiss worked on the math long and hard to come up with the highest scoring combination he could find.

\left( \sqrt{ \sqrt{ 20 - 4} } \right) ^ 3 = 20 - 12

This sign is on route 20 visible from the intersection with School Street in Westin, Massachusetts. The GPS coordinates are approximately N42.36675 W71.29647. See sign on map!

Sorry RSM — the town is spelled, "WESTON" — Known to travellers of the Mass Pike as the place on the Boston End where you pick up your toll ticket.

Well, changing the name is a bit of a troublesome process, so I think for purposes of this post, it will be titled Westin, in reference to Weston. :-)
