Randy Weiss finds this sign just a couple blocks down the street from Gerry’s Landing. This area seems to be a veritable gold mine of mathematically significant signs. The variety of single-digit roads with short distances to towns create endless possibilities.

The math here is a matter of powers of 2.
2 \times 4 \times (5 - 3) = 16

4 squared is 16
numbers make me queezy, but even I can see that.

Tsk tsk tsk.. the rules are the rules. First of all, the series you suggest is invalid, you are splitting the 16 to make a 1 and a 6, clearly against the rules. And your 4^2 = 16 is completely ridiculous. It’s as if the 3 and the 5 were not even on the sign.
These suggestions are simply invalid.
