HawaiiFirst Sign

Roger Knowles makes a return to Road Sign Math with this first ever sign from the tropical paradise of Hawaii. Hawaii doesn’t have a lot of roads to provide opportunities for math, and the distances are not very far. This one puts it on the map.

The sign will suffer a big penalty for using canceling math and take a 50% deduction in score. However, it still eeks out a good score and the first in region bonus helps it out.

83 - 83 = 0

This sign is at the very beginning of highway 83 in Oahu, Hawaii. The GPS coordinates are approximately N21.57481 W158.10298. See sign on map!

Ed.: Hawaii is the 30th US state to make it on Road Sign Math! Only 20 more left! And, this is the 125th sign mathematically significant roadsign found!
