On August 14th we announced the 50th mathematically significant roadsign on Road Sign Math. Exactly 100 days after that (how convenient!), November 22nd, we are announcing another milestone. We have now reached our 100th mathematically significant roadsign. Road Sign Math has now been around for 274 days and has grown beyond our wildest dreams in reach and participation.
After we reached the 50 sign point our distribution in the US was pretty thin.

However now we have large exposure to over half of the country with 26 states introduced to the game from 21 different sign spotters. There are only 24 US states remaining to be introduced. Start looking now to get your Gold Star!

Massachusetts was finally able to overtake Pennsylvania for the lead, now with an impressive 18 signs! Minnesota holds onto a slight lead for 3rd place.
When viewed on a map, the following states have been found.

Clearly there is a lot of opportunity in the southern part of the US, and in the Northwest. Let’s keep the hunt strong and get every state on the board!
Also, stay tuned for the release soon of the 2nd edition Road Sign Math rules. The 2nd edition will include clarification on some of the finer points, an entire section on unary operators and a new sign type!
Thanks go out to all of the sign contributors, without you all this site would be much less interesting. A big thanks to all the visitors to Road Sign Math and the great sites that link to it. A special round of thanks to Jim & Suzie Bernard who help makes dreams reality. But most importantly, love to my wife who puts up with my crazy projects, and my little daughter who wears her Road Sign Math onesie with pride.
Keep the hunt for mathematically significant roadsigns strong! Remember…
