Just south of Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area (really, that’s what it’s called!), in the Ashley National Forest, comes a small and humble tribute to mathematically significant roadsigns. It’s unclear what the orange trail marker on the sign is designating. Randy Weiss brings us this Utah sign.

Each switchback had a different speed limit depending on the radius of the turn and the pitch of the highway at that point, and they announce how many more switchbacks to come [...]
