Gerald Thurman grabbed this sign while browsing the Maple Ash neighborhood in Tempe, Arizona.

Mr. Thurman stacks square roots on top of square roots to create a mathematical pyramid that a high school cheerleading squad would be jealous of.

Gerald Thurman accomplishes a first ever in Road Sign Math! He has found a pi sign, and by inserting himself into the picture he put the entire solution right there. Mr. Thurman found this sign on Pi Day (March, 14th) 2006.

While a bit pedestrian, we still get excited about the most commonly used pi solution in the game.

Gerald Thurman expands on the select few signs on Road Sign Math that are wooden. It’s a nice break from the green, metal of the urban landscape to get into the outdoors a bit. This sign guides visitors to Salt River Canyon in Arizona.

This sign is also impressive due to the direct way the math comes around.

Gerald Thurman puts another mathematically significant roadsign on the map for the great state of Arizona. Mr. Thurman notes that this picture was taken on Presidents Day, however there is no apparent connection between that day and the math herein.

Most people would pass this sign by. They would add up 32 and 34 and realize they were 2 off from 64 and give up. Mr. Thurman however persists, and is rewarded for it!
